Great post! I went to Malaga many years ago as a 20 year old backpacker. Great city and my introduction to awesome Andulasia. Funny thing is - I never realized that was Picasso's hometown.

Thanks for the comment!

Picasso - probably that wasn't your focus at that age, and the museums probably weren't open at that time.

Very true except I did go to see his Guernica masterpiece in Madrid on the same trip and was very moved by its depiction of the inhumanity of modern warfare. I also seem to recall nearby Marbella being a real gem. A lovely part of the world!

I agree with you, it's a lovely part of the world. I still haven't seen the Guernica, but will soon. Have you seen Ronda and Cordoba? If you haven't, you should go back :)

Yes, I will never forget Ronda and Cordoba - say them on the same trip. Took a bus up to Ronda - the sight of that city on the cliffs justified my whole European trip - it was exactly what I was hoping to find. I haven’t been back there in all these years - but I still always buy a bottle of wine from Ronda whenever I happen to see it in a wine store and savour the great memory…
