Do you like the solo travel? This has become a big thing. They have special groups that specialize in them

I enjoyed going along with you on this journey. Croatia is one place I have always wanted to visit. Maybe one day I will get to Europe.

And vice versa - one day I hope I will get to the US :-) Probably next summer.

I can just say that you should get to Europe, it's mindblowingly diverse and rich in culture, nature etc.

That is what I love. The history and architecture is amazing from pictures I have seen.

Great post, Gabi! I really appreciate your practical tips here - like visiting in May or September to avoid the crowds (and heat!), and getting the Dubrovnik Card for access to multiple sites. As a solo female traveler, having these insider insights is so valuable for planning a smooth and enriching trip.

The blend of history, culture, and natural beauty you've described has me interested in Croatia. Lokrum Island sounds like the perfect peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. I'm so excited to see what other Croatian treasures you'll be sharing over the next two weeks! Your passion for your home country really shines through, and it's infectious. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the comment! Dubrovnik is a small city, and the old part even smaller, you can't really miss some sights. I would recommend visiting Cavtat and Konavle, or even day trips to the islands of Mljet and Korčula. And fyi, there was a direct United flight NY-Dubrovnik in 2023, but I'm not sure if it will happen in the future.
