As a Tallinn resident, I can totally back up what you wrote—it's spot on! It’s a bummer we didn’t get to know each other back in March; it would have been a blast to meet up here!
For anyone planning to visit this beautiful city, here’s a food tip: steer clear of Olde Hansa in Town Hall Square. While the food is decent, it’s way too touristy for my liking. Instead, head straight to Rataskaevu 16 in the Old Town. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
Oh, wow, you're from Tallinn!!! :) Well, I liked your city A LOT!!
We ate in several other places, I would have to find them on Maps, but everything was really great! I liked Tallinn way more than Helsinki, but I have a soft spot for medieval towns :)
There are a lot of good spots to eat here, actually. And I 100% prefer Tallinn to Helnsinki, too. I've to say that I've never heard of someone loving Helsinki more than Tallinn ;)
:))) I actually love those cities too, and I did like Helsinki, it is somehow different, but Tallinn was special, even in the wind and rain. And I love its futuristic aspirations, all the digital advances, its university aspirations and outlooks, schools etc etc
When I was in London, I really enjoyed living there. However, when I moved to Estonia, I discovered a new side of myself! Unfortunately, the weather is pretty 'horrible,' but the country has much more to offer, even outside Tallinn. Maybe the countryside is even better than Tallinn for me.
Speaking of the weather, do you know this Estonian saying? 'We had a nice summer this year. Unfortunately, I was at work on that day.' :D

I'm not Estonian, but I live in Tallinn, yes!

There are people who like busy cities better :-)
True that! I've spent a few yeears in London, for example. And I know I'm not in the how-wonderful-busy-cities-are team at all! :D
