Lots of fresh, beautiful and interesting ideas here for things to see (many that I haven’t) for the next time we visit France! I’ve made a few screen shots to sock away in an electronic album, Places to Go, to hopefully remember to use in planning an itinerary next time.
Hi, I enjoyed reading through this list and counted fourteen places I’ve been to during family travels. The Gorges du Verdon is a particularly favourite place of ours along with Paris and all its attractions. We also love the Ardeche and Carcassone. Each familiar place you mentioned brought back a certain memory. We began travelling in France when our children were 5&7 years old. Now both are in their 20’s so it’s nice to have those memories..

Glad to hear that!

That's great, I'm glad it triggered good memories! I haven't traveled around France that much, most of it is still on my list :)
This was a fun review, and I'd heard of every site -- I think there are 31!
The ones I HAVEN'T visited are:
1. Les Gorges du Verdon
2. The Reims cathedral
3. La Cité du Vin in Bordeaux (although I've been to Bordeaux a number of times)
4. Le Pont d'Arc
5. Le Château de Fontainebleau
6. Etratat
Sometimes I feel like I've missed out on a lot having lived here for 35 years, but I guess I have covered a bit of territory!
